Really… could you imagine if the President of the U.S. left one of his girls in a pub, for a half an hour. Actually, even walked out the door without her (or him)?!?!?! Well, the equivalent of Britain’s President, did just that. What do you think? Would you demand that leader of your country step down out of office? Does that go against everything we stand for? Or, is that just mere proof that he is just like you and I, and should be cut some slack? Does this just show the acceptance of alcohol in the U.K.?

It’s hard to imagine our imperial President ever taking his family to a pub. And even harder to imagine Michelle letting the girls out of her sight. Obama doesn’t go pubs, he goes to country clubs. He doesn’t like the official Presidential retreat at Camp David because there is no golf course. He has set something of a record by finding time to play about 100 rounds of golf in his first term. I can imagine Harry Truman, or Bill Clinton walking across the 15th street to the bar at the Old Ebbett Grill for a beer and a half dozen oysters, but not Obama.
Seriously, I don’t like Cameron any more than I like Obama, but take it from somebody whose children are about your age, those things happen in the best of families. Kids do have a knack for wandering off or getting left behind and it’s always a shock when it happens, but you and they get over it.
