if you love peanut butter as much as I do, then you’ll LOVE this bomb-diggity top-secret recipe that I recently, accidentally, made up. here’s what you do:
for a ‘normal size’ jar of peanut butter (you can use almond butter, or any type of nut butter, as long as it’s smooth NOT crunchy. you’ll want to use an organic one as well), pour 4 cups of chilled (no ice) filtered/spring/distilled water into your blender or food processor. then, put in the jar of peanut butter. in this video I had a smaller jar, so I used 2 cups of water. blend your peanut butter and water for 2 minutes or so, THEN add in 1 scoop of banana flavored protein powder, and 2 scoops of chocolate. if need be, add a little bit more water. finally, blend that bad boy for another few minutes. WAAAA-LAAAAA! your finished product is SENSATIONAL! Now, not only have you cut the fat and calories in half (basically by diluting your PB), but you’ve also enriched it with protein! Pour the PB back into the original jar, and stick it in the fridge. You will have some left in the blender, which of course you can put in tupperware, or do like I do, and EAT IT! Keep it in the fridge (just as you should with any organic PB) while not sticking your finger in it
Here is a task for you. Next time you are out at the grocery store, grab a non-organic brand of peanut butter, and look on the back for the ingredients. if you see:
*hydrogenated vegetable oil*
as the first ingredient, SKIP THAT SH*T!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS GREEK FOR “TRANS FAT!”. Transfats are HORRIBLE, AWFUL, THE DEVIL….. BAD BAD BAD. It’s been said that once you ingest a transfat, it never really leaves your body. that is why peanut butter can sit out on a shelf, without being refrigerated for years, and still be edible. NO GOOD! processed foods, and all the crap, crap, and more crap! that comes with being processed, are big players in the game of ‘probable cause’ when it comes to cancer-causing agents. I came across a video on youtube a week or so ago, showing what happens to a pack of McDonalds french-fries after sitting in a jar for 10 WEEKS…. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! THEY DIDN’T CHANGE FORM AT ALL! the other items from McDonalds like the ‘big mac’, the ‘fillet O fish’, and ‘chicken sandwhich’, all were rotting bad after 3-4 weeks (the sample from a mom n’ pop joint down the street from the experiment site, started rotting after a few days…. I know you can figure out why). BUT THE FRIES….. LOOKED BRAND NEW!
