@home, no cost, high intensity cardio

so check it out…… for those of you who need to do something related to working out, but can’t seem to get past the 12-oz curls (drinking beer fool! lol), here is a ‘no cost’, fast, at your-own-pace cardio routine.  if done at this pace, it will take 24 mins.

also, if you have an iphone, android, or blackberry, get the application called ‘ Tabata Sport’ or something along those lines.  It is a timer that makes wonderful noises when your interval is up.  I’ve done circuits like this before, but never thought to blog about it since I haven’t had someone telling me to do one in a long time.  my patna, Ldawg, is away on holiday for the rest of the week, so the mate and I have been doing this together for high intensity cardio.

ONE MINUTE INTERVALS, NO REST IN BETWEEN.  ALL YOU NEED IS A MAT (OR CARPET IF AT HOME), AND 2 CHAIRS (YOU CAN USE 1 CHAIR IF YOU DON’T HAVE TWO).  ONE MIN. REST BETWEEN SETS.  REPEAT CIRCUIT TOTAL OF 4 TIMES.

1 MIN OF SQUATS
1 MIN OF FORWARD LUNGES, ALTERNATING SIDES
1 MIN OF DIPS (OFF THE CHAIR)
1 MIN OF PUSHUPS
1 MIN OF STEP UPS (IF YOU DON’T HAVE SOMETHING TO STEP UP ON, YOU CAN DO DBL LEG LUNGES)
1 MIN OF MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS
1 MIN OF POP SQUATS
1 MIN OF PLANK

REST 1 MIN, THEN REPEAT THE SAME CIRCUIT 3 MORE TIMES.
If you don’t know what some of these exercises are, replace it with one you do, such as jumping jacks, burpees, etc.
