Oh Dear God!
I miss that washboard stomach… I still have my abs, but since I started power lifting and olympic lifting, my body wants to keep a small layer of fat to protect my muscles from all the heavy lifting. Also, this clip was filmed just weeks after I competed in my last body building competition. For a natural (non steroid taking) female to have abs this ripped year round, is NOT healthy (note to self, lol).
The main point of this video, is something I’ve mentioned before; Body awareness. Whenever you’re working out, whether it be your biceps, your quads, or your abs, FOCUS ON FLEXING THAT MUSCLE when moving it! You can workout your biceps harder with just using 5lb/kilo dumbbells, than you could using 25lb/kilo ones. Ask anyone who’s competed in a body building show. They too will tell you that the hardest part of competing, is PRACTICING YOUR POSING! Holding your muscles in a tensed, 100% flexed position, is sometimes (usually more often than not), more difficult than actually working the muscle out!
Whenever you lift something, do it with intent. Just as in the ‘walk with KOnfidence’ video… you must walk with INTENT…. as if you are going on a mission… as if you have somewhere important to be, and if anyone tries and stop you, it better be for a damn good reason. Try this: stand in front of the mirror (or don’t use a mirror if you’re like me and will more than likely talk shit to yourself when staring back at … well, you!) and hold a front double bicep flex for 30 seconds, as hard as you possibly can. Then, tell me how “easy” it was….. NOT! I guarantee you will be shocked at how difficult it can be.
Also, remember practice, practice, practice!!!! It WILL get easier. Make a small goal for yourself, even if it sounds ridiculous. Tell yourself, every single F**KING morning when you get out of bed, you are going to drop to your bedside, and do 10 situps/pushups. Easy enough right? well, by the end of the week, I bet you will have worked up to 20. Try it. And of course, tell me about it. It’s your feedback that keeps me going.
Lastly, “it’s all in the hips”. More on that later. But for now, I’m off to get my 7…. maybe 8 hours of sleep. YEA BABY! days of partying are long gone for me. I love taking care of my temple. mentally, emotionally, and physically ready and capable for anything. It’s my choice to ‘act’, not ‘react’.

EYYY! Now I really don’t feel stupid. I say half a dat shit all the time!
Great tips, thanks!
Just a quick question…a part of diet and good nutrition, is it possible to achieve those abs at age 40 without ‘help’; I mean supplements, protein, fat burners?
Cheers and I hope you liked Australia. Next time drop by to Perth
